Apple is doing the right thing by pushing capital expenditure onto suppliers and even users — iPhone owners provide the hardware, pay for extra usage and buy replacements — so Apple keeps making money without needing the best AI model.

If you ask me about Apple, they are doing the right thing. They are delegating all the capital expenditures to suppliers, even to their users. If you're using an iPhone, the good-enough AI—you don't have to, you don't need to have the best AI model.

You're using it on the iPhone. You're the one charging the phone. If, uh, the phone gets damaged, you're the one who will buy a new one. Maybe you'll pay a little extra for some more usage. Apple is still making money.
