AMD has strong long-term potential despite high valuation reflecting optimism; it is the speaker's fifth favorite AI stock.

Today , I will talk about AMD, Broadcom, Amazon, Meta, and Nvidia.
AMD has become a trillion-dollar company , and the growth in its data center business explains why investors are so interested in it . In the second quarter of 2026, AMD generated $11.5 billion in revenue, a 50% year-over-year increase.
The data center business generated $6.7 billion in quarterly revenue, a 107% increase over the previous year. This now represents about 58% of the company's total revenue. This is important because AMD is no longer just a company that sells processors for gaming PCs and laptops.
It has become one of the major suppliers of chips that power artificial intelligence.
AMD has a multi- tiered agreement with OpenAI and Meta, each of which includes an independent deployment of up to 6 gigawatts of graphics processing units for AMD data centers.
These agreements are tied to specific deployment milestones, so they do not equate to guaranteed revenue, but they demonstrate the enormous scale of AMD's relationships with its potential customers.
AMD's EPYC series processors benefit from this increased demand . If the artificial intelligence sector continues to expand, AMD has an opportunity to grow both sides of its business in data centers.
Now, the risk lies in the financial assessment. AMD recently reached a market capitalization of one trillion dollars, folks. This is a huge number that comes after a massive rise in the stock price.
At this valuation, investors expect AMD to continue its rapid growth and compete successfully with Nvidia. AMD must honor its agreements with key customers without sacrificing too much of its profitability.
Therefore, I will be paying particular attention to data center revenue growth, GPU deployments, and gross profit margins over the next few quarters. The long- term opportunity is great, but the stock price already reflects a great deal of optimism, and that's why I like the stock.
It is actually my fifth favorite stock on this list.
My five stocks: AMD, Broadcom, Amazon, Meta, and Nvidia. All five companies are in a position to leverage artificial intelligence in different ways, and I believe they have great long-term potential.
I will continue to buy when attractive opportunities arise .
