Amazon reports earnings in 6 days while already at its 200-day moving average, a better setup to rise than Meta's, which was above its average, reported and slid straight back to it; the reverse could happen here, though there is no way to know for sure.

Moving on to Amazon , the stock started the week at 255, and shares declined ahead of the company's earnings report. The stock fell by about 3% this week to 248. That was an unremarkable headline .

We always have one every week. I think this is the theme for this week. Amazon is increasing its holiday season hiring plans by more than 20% compared to the past two years . In 2023 and 2024, the company planned to hire around 250,000 seasonal workers.

This year the percentage is about 20% higher. They plan to employ around 300,000 people. They will be paid around $20 an hour with higher salaries than that, including benefits from day one, such as prepaid tuition and a contribution to a 401k retirement plan.

Now, technology companies like Netflix may be in this boat, but most likely you have Amazon, and Google in particular, and maybe Apple too, I do n't know, but maybe Disney too, along with traditional cable companies like Comcast and Fox, who are bidding for these rights.

Amazon announces its profits within 6 days. I meant to say that in relation to Apple. They announce their profits within 10 days. So, it's not next week, actually. I was confused .

Now, Amazon announces its earnings within 6 days. That would be significant from a capital expenditure perspective. See where the situation is headed. It's a little different from Meta, isn't it?

Meta was well above its 200- day average, announced earnings, then slipped back to it directly. The opposite could happen with Amazon. I mean, there's no way to know for sure about these things , but this is actually a better position to go up for a stock like this, since you're already at the 200-day moving average.

The forecast is already what I call average, where you can get that rise.
