Google is diversifying its custom-chip suppliers, yet Broadcom is still the one king of custom chips, with an OpenAI custom chip deal. The AI bubble has not burst but reset, and that reset benefits profitable hardware makers, Broadcom among them.

I think it was smart of Google to diversify its suppliers instead of relying solely on Broadcom. So I think this is just another example of Google's attempts to diversify its supply chain, but there is only one king of custom chips in the world, and that is Broadcom.
Now, speaking of OpenAI, the company has a custom chip deal with Broadcom, and I like the CEO of Broadcom. He's saying things as they are, and he may have had a drink or two. I'm not accusing the man of anything , but my God, he was very blunt this week, saying earlier this week: " Your parents give you $10 in tokens.
You finish it in 10 minutes and you haven't learned anything." This must be one of the best quotes of the week.
He says, "This is what's happening in companies today ." We have definitely moved out of, or are moving out of, the phase where everyone is trying to spend the tokens as quickly as possible.
They are trying to experiment with these models, see what they do, and what kind of tasks and work they can do within the organization. We have moved beyond that stage. I completely agree with that.
I think there is a hasty reaction that the artificial intelligence bubble has burst. No, it's just a reset of what will actually be done. I believe it benefits a wide range of profitable hardware manufacturers, and Broadcom is one of them.
