Avoid investing in BIRK due to perceived decline in product quality and suspicious revenue drivers following ownership change.

Another worrying stock here is Birkenstock, and I have to say something which is that when it was owned by the company 10 years ago, when you or I or my wife bought Birkenstock shoes, they lasted 10 years.
I got rid of a pair we bought in 2014. I threw them away last year because they were simply old and not in good condition. Now, you buy one this summer, and you can throw it in the trash at the end of the season.
A complete change in quality, at least here in Europe. This is something that may be reflected in the consumer's attitude towards it.
I'm not going to buy a pair of Pyrex every summer. This keeps revenues high, but there is something suspicious about it. Therefore, I will not invest in it, especially after the change in ownership ; it is no longer family-owned, but privately owned and things like that .
