$GE

GE beat revenue and adjusted EPS expectations, with revenue up about 18% and backlog up 49%, and raised some forecasts; shares fell 2.9% premarket as expectations were already very high. GE sees consistent demand and no near-term slowdown unless a larger global economic slowdown occurs, which is not in its forecasts.

Yes, we see the stock down about 2.9% in pre-opening trading , but the company actually managed to beat expectations in revenue and profits. Revenues reached $13.3 billion. Market expectations were around $12.88 billion, and we saw an increase in total revenue of approximately 18% year-over-year.

The adjusted earnings per share amounted to $2.25. Market expectations were for $2.01. Now, if you look at the details of their business, we have seen an increase in commercial services revenue of approximately 23% year-on-year.

The backlog of orders has actually increased by 49% year-on-year.

Revenues from the motors and commercial services sector also increased by 21%. They have already raised their forecasts for some aspects of their financial year here, but again I think the market had already set a very high ceiling for its expectations.

They are still experiencing consistent demand. They do not believe they will face any kind of slowdown in the near term, unless, of course, we experience a larger global economic slowdown , which is not currently on their forecasts.

So, overall, we see the stocks are falling somewhat this morning, but the results themselves were actually very good.
