NFLX has been weak around earnings dates for the past two years and typically crashes before its earnings report, the pattern his "earnings destruction" strategy targets; the market already expects that weakness, so a decline would not surprise, and he has no upward outlook for it.

mainly because Netflix and Tesla in particular have been weak around earnings dates over the past two years. So, on one hand, I feel the market expects weakness from them because that's what we've seen historically.
Therefore, I don't think a decline in either company would be a big surprise. Netflix in particular is a stock I have used my “ earnings destruction” trading strategy with, which is a stock that typically crashes before the earnings report.
Therefore, at this stage, I do not have an upward outlook for either of them.
