NVDA is a short- and long-term holding; its long-term thesis is unchanged despite sideways trading for much of the past year. Data centers are not going away, with nearly $6 trillion of global spending expected between now and 2030; NVDA provides AI infrastructure, with software/network advantages beyond chips.

And you love Nvidia too. Nvidia is a very interesting case because it has traded sideways for a large part of the past twelve months, but the overall thesis, Nvidia’s long-term thesis, remains fundamentally unchanged if you read the analysts’ comments.
So, how do you view Nvidia? Is it a short-term investment for you, a long-term holding, or both?
Well, I think it's a combination of both. I think you should keep an eye on spending on artificial intelligence, but look, data centers aren't going away. We are looking to spend nearly $6 trillion globally between now and 2030 on data centers.
About half of that will be spent here in the United States, and there is even talk of more data centers, and of an expansion that goes beyond even the investments expected after 2027.
Thus, Nvidia provides the computing infrastructure behind all this expansion. Nations, whose true advantage goes beyond mere chips. It's in the software, networks, and integrated systems to help customers deploy artificial intelligence on a large scale.
And so, they became something of an AI facility, or, you know, for lack of a better term, the godfather of artificial intelligence.
Oh yes, I mean, that term is definitely in use. And you were talking about a "facility," I mean, there's been a lot of discussion about what kind of company Nvidia has become now, as they're really expanding their reach in building the overall AI infrastructure.
