But from here, let's go back because I wanted to share with you another area of technology that has declined. This field is semiconductors. In this case, I use the iShares Semiconductor Fund (SOXX) and it has decreased by 5%.
We stand here on the brink of a potentially negative Relative Strength Index (RSI) with a potentially negative MACD crossover. So, this is not what you would want to see in a sector that was once at the forefront.
Much of this has to do with revenue concerns ahead of their earnings reports. And of course, I will be closely monitoring this semiconductor group, which was very weak last week.

Moving through taking a look at semiconductors, another key area within the technology grouping and you can see that we are still in a downtrend. We're on the lookout for not only a move with the SOXX iShares Semiconductor ETF back above that 50-day simple moving average, but we want it to take shape on heavy volume, taking us back to this April period, the sharp uptrend that took place. Get that RSI back above 50 and then likewise with that MACD, but at this point in time, very much languishing as noted.
