TSMC's sixth straight record quarter showed profit up 68.7% and operating margin 58.7%, above ~58% expectations, with Q4 revenue guidance $52.3B-$54.3B (+14% QoQ, +58% YoY). Chip-stock pressure made the reaction lackluster, but demand exceeds supply and the AI chip shift should boost future margins/sales.

Then, in addition, some profits were released today by regional banks and TSM.
Let's move on to Taiwan, Simi. It appears to have been another record quarter , but it is not enough to bring about a change in the current situation. So, there is pressure on chip stocks, and perhaps that is why you are seeing a lackluster reaction from TSM.
But Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company provides those monthly updates regarding sales. So, there are no big surprises here . But the chipmaker posted record profits for the sixth consecutive quarter, with a 68.7% increase in the reported quarter compared to year-to-date levels .
Therefore, operating margins reached 58.7%. That was higher than expectations, which were at around 58% . They projected fourth-quarter revenues of between US$52.3 billion and US$54.3 billion.
This represents a sequential increase of 14 % and 58% compared to last year's levels.
So, as I mentioned earlier, this is not just an AI story, a building story, and a demand-side story for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. But we are seeing a lot of pressure on chip stocks, and perhaps that is why you are seeing this lackluster response.
Remember that this is just a small part, but this is the direction the market is currently heading. If you look at their larger chips , i.e., the larger nanometer chips and traditional brands, you will find that they still make up the majority of their revenue, but their move towards advanced AI chips will boost their profit margins and sales in the future.
Sales are continuing, or rather, demand still exceeds supply at this stage.
