My fifth largest holding this account is the Altria Group, ticker symbol M O. Now, this has been one of my core dividend stock holdings over the years. I added to it a bunch, but I have trimmed in 2026.
I put some of that money towards Microsoft and Nvidia in this account, but overall, this has done great for me. I have a 105% total return. It's still my second largest dividend payer at $1,700.
But I was buying this stock when it was a 9% plus dividend yield on cost. And as of right now, the dividend yield is 6.59%. So the stock price has gone up quite a bit. I wouldn't say the company's overvalued.
It's probably around fair value right now, but it's definitely not looking dirt cheap like it was when I was initially purchasing it. And that's because the growth is not there for a company like Altria.
You know, you're going to have very low dividend growth, so you got to buy it at a cheap valuation.
