$CME

CME is liked: it broke its downtrend from the March 330 peak and sits above its 50-, 20- and 200-day averages, with rising RSI and a weekly MACD crossing zero, which could add gains over the next few months; Q3 results Wednesday are expected to show double-digit revenue and EPS growth on strong trading and volatility.

Your next choice is CME Group, which is down slightly today, but has risen year-to-date. Although it has lagged slightly compared to the market over the past year , it has still been positive over the past 52 weeks.

I really like CME and their earnings report will be released on Wednesday. So, it is a type of income- based trading. I like CME for two reasons. From a technical perspective, you will see the 50-day and 200- day moving averages converging , and if the 50-day average rises above the 200-day average, it is a golden cross, indicating a very bullish or upward trend.

Moreover, CME continues to set volume record after volume record. So, I really like their work. I like the view here. So, what I want to do is sell this week's 305 strike call , and the premium there is much higher because of the earnings.

And I am buying 300 calls for November 20th, about a month later, which is priced in the range of 4 to 450. So, you can look at it this way, "I'm buying 300 calls a month from now and selling 305 calls this week to recoup some of the cost."

Yes, of course. And honestly, this is a chart that looks good not only on a daily basis, but also on a weekly basis. We will start with the daily chart first. Apparently, the stock managed to reach near the $330 level.

That was around March, but since that particular time the stock has seen downward highs and lows. As Scott talked about fundamentals, fundamentals are more important than technicals in this stock.

They have been able to hold their own. In July we saw a kind of V-bottom recovery and we were able to break out of a key area of resistance. From that peak at 330, we found a downward trend line.

You will see that we have broken through that resistance level and moved up in the last two or three trading sessions. This is a really good sign. You are looking at the 305 level as your next resistance area , followed by 315.

If there is a decline, you will look at the 255 level. The RSI is continuously making higher lows , which is bullish. The MACD 12 EMA is above the 26 EMA, which is also bullish.

And Scott is right , we had a great combination of the 50-day, 20-day and 200-day moving averages. We have been able to rise above all of them in the last two-three weeks , so it is bullish.

If we move to the weekly chart , you can be a little more optimistic there. The weekly chart is still showing the bullish trend, which is recovering from the 'V' bottom. That 'V' bottom occurred right at the 200- week moving average , which is an important moving average.

You see, last July, July 2024, we saw a kind of recovery back to that level and now we're starting to move up a little bit again. The weekly MACD should give you some optimism , as the 12 EMA has just crossed the zero line.

The 26 EMA will likely cross that zero line within the next week. This gives you another bullish signal, which could lead to additional profits in the next few months. This looks like a very bullish chart , Marvin.

Okay, now the expectations for the third quarter are very high, expecting double-digit revenue growth and EPS growth due to strong trading and volatility for CME. We will get those results on Wednesday.
