Workday is a long-term buy; its entrenched enterprise role and growth metrics indicate the market has undervalued it due to unfounded AI disruption fears.

Okay, guys. This now brings us to the third and final arrow in this month's Halloween special. Unlike other stocks, this stock does not distribute dividends, but it is still a high-risk investment, and investors have panicked about it due to the rise of artificial intelligence and how it could affect them.
This is the essence of the concerns surrounding it. But I actually think that investors or Wall Street will prove to be wrong about this stock as well in the future, and this stock is the cloud software giant, Workday. The trading symbol is WDAY.
Unlike other stocks, this stock does not distribute dividends , but it is still a high- risk investment, and investors have panicked about it due to the rise of artificial intelligence and how it could affect them.
This is the essence of the concerns surrounding it.
Another stock I started buying for the first time ever this year after massive sell-offs in its price. Initially, Workday's stock was soaring thanks to a strong performance, which we will discuss shortly.
Very, very good performance on a business level. But once concerns about AI disruption began to seep into all software companies, WorkDay's stock began to decline sharply and is now down about 40% from its peak, even after a recent rebound following reports that private equity giant Silver Lake is in serious talks to potentially take WorkDay private in a multi-billion dollar acquisition deal.
I bought most of my shares just before that bounce, and when the news came out, I must be honest, I put on a small smile. Not because the stock price was finally rising, but because I feel it kind of confirms what I've been saying about this company all along.
The fact is that public markets were so blinded by panic that they greatly undervalued the works of "Workday". To a large extent, in fact, it reached a point where a highly solvent private equity firm started looking at it and saying, "Hey, why don't we step in, take advantage of the opportunity, and acquire this stock?"
We should acquire this company because the market does not appreciate its value. They lowered the price and the rating. We can buy it at a cheap price.

But whether the acquisition goes through or not, I still think the core business here is great for long-term investment. If you don't work in the corporate world, you may not realize how important "Workday" is.

If you don't work in the corporate world, you may not realize how important " Workday" is. It serves as the hidden backbone of human resources, payroll, employee benefits, financial management, and more.
This really applies to the largest institutions on Earth. In fact, more than 65% of Fortune 500 companies and more than 75% of America's top 50 companies run their day-to-day operations through the Workday platform, with more than 80 million contract workers on the platform, generating about 1.4 trillion transactions annually.
The costs of relocating here are, if I may say so, extremely high for these giant institutions, which adds even more strength to their approach; Once a large company with, I don't know, around 50,000 employees has spent years migrating its payroll, tax compliance, internal budgets, employee records, and all its data to Warkdie, the idea of suddenly getting rid of all that to switch to an unproven AI startup —and this is the expected downside—seems illogical. In my opinion, this is highly unlikely .
This is why WorkDee consistently maintains an impressive gross revenue retention rate of 97%, because once they acquire a customer, that customer tends to stay with them for the long term. They never move on to another competitor .
In addition, Warcade itself is already integrating artificial intelligence into everything it does. Ultimately, they will essentially offer everything that any other competitor can offer.
So why would you switch to an unproven and unreliable name when you can simply continue using "Warcade"?
Not to mention that Warcade is not just a database, it also has a permissions and compliance layer. Therefore, if any artificial intelligence wants to access a company's financial data, it must do so through a secure "workd" workflow.
In other words, they actually possess the secure operating system that all these artificial intelligence processes must pass through .
So, those startups will have to build all of that too. Thus, you can see why it seems logical to use WorkDee's AI offerings rather than others.
And you can see all of this already reflected in their financial statements. We are seeing initial signs of that. In fact, despite the stock being badly affected, Warkede's business is not shrinking, quite the opposite.
In fact, their subscription revenue grew by about 14% in the last quarter, while their 12-month subscription backlog jumped by more than 14% as well, to more than $9 billion , and their total backlog now stands at more than $27 billion.
Even better, their AI monetization is also starting to take off , with annual recurring revenue from proxy AI offerings up by more than 200% year-over-year. There are over 5,500 enterprise customers already actively working with Workday's AI proxies. So, they are already using it .
However, due to the lower price, the stock is now trading at about 30% cheaper than the sector, while analysts still expect tremendous growth in the coming years for its financial performance.
So, for me, I see it as an option to buy at any time. And I think the recent acquisition rumors somewhat confirm that for me. There is probably value to be gained here, which the general market has been overlooking this year, and perhaps there has been an overreaction to the stock that has caused it to fall too far. This is my personal feeling about the matter.
