$CRM

Bank of America double-upgraded CRM, arguing AI deepens reliance on major software platforms: large organizations won't replace platforms like CRM, needing these enterprises rather than building in-house, which may make CRM more valuable for AI, reversing prior AI-harm view; analyst may be late and the boost is small.

In fact, Salesforce is getting a double upgrade. Bank of America now says that artificial intelligence may deepen the reliance of institutions on major software platforms. As we know, Salesforce was not viewed as one of the winning companies in the same way as Adobe; rather, it was perhaps considered more to be harmed by artificial intelligence than to be an innovator in it.

Yes, and I think this goes back to that narrative we discussed earlier, which is that some software companies will be able to use artificial intelligence to achieve productivity gains, right?

They may have to start reducing staff at this stage, but as you know, Salesforce (CRM) has always been the company that acquires other companies. They make it really profitable, and quickly.

But this analyst stated that large organizations are unlikely to replace the platforms that contain their business logic, data, workflows, and compliance frameworks. On the contrary, artificial intelligence should deepen reliance on these platforms.

Think about it: If you are an industrial company, a materials company, or a technology company, you probably don't have the capabilities in your own systems, so you will still need companies like CRM that have large-scale enterprise platforms to manage your business, and to outsource rather than create something internally.

Therefore, this may make these companies more valuable in terms of artificial intelligence and developing their infrastructure at this stage. And where you will actually be able to cross-sell to some of these companies, whether in the field of cybersecurity, the enterprise side, or workflow within their businesses.

Remember the “Software-as-a-Service” (SASpocalypse) that occurred earlier this year in 2026, when many software companies took a big hit to their stock prices, with the belief that “everyone, all of these companies, will be able to develop their own enterprise platforms and will not have to rely on companies like Salesforce.”

But it's starting to pay off, as it turns out that these companies can really help you make profits from artificial intelligence better and at a lower cost, and you can cross-selling across the technology sector at this stage.

So, as you know, it's not surprising. This Bank of America analyst may have been a little late with regard to the promotion, but he did a double promotion there. You know, it provides a small boost here for CRM.

Salesforce, Bank of America is trying to catch up here with regard to Salesforce. They have moved from a " poor performance" rating to a "buy" rating, essentially saying that much of the concern about AI taking over Salesforce's business is exaggerated. They had a target price of $160. They've raised their target price, Nicole, to $285. So, some of that is an attempt to catch up, but the dual upgrade is a good step and essentially alleviates some of the concerns about AI stealing their customers.
